OUR MISSION
Abilene Performing Arts Company, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, youth-centered musical theatre, theatre, dance, and music organization. Our mission is to capture the interest and develop the talents of individuals through the performing arts. In addition, we strive to bring together staff, participants, board members, donors, and audience members from across the region, socioeconomic and ethnic spectrum as we work with youth and families to build self-esteem, confidence, lasting friendships, and memories.
ABOUT US
In 1999 we received our 501c3 status. From there, we grew from young students performing musical revues onstage, to a company offering a full circle of opportunities for all ages including adults! Twenty-plus years later we have seasoned into an organization that has provided classes in musical theatre, theatre, ballet, tap, hip hop, lyrical, jazz, Bollywood, Irish dance, Kindermusik, Tahitian Dance, Drill Team + Poms and more! Participants learn, grow, and perform! Performances include studio showcases, summer camps, dance intensives, workshops, annual spring productions at the Abilene Convention Center, and annual musical theatre productions at the Historic Paramount Theatre.
